What is Solution Focused Therapy?

It is a future-focused, goal-directed, with emphasis on solutions, rather than on the problems.

SFT emphasizes identifying & building on strengths to foster positive change & achieve goals.

It is based on the hopes of empowering clients to envision & create their preferred future.

Can also be referred to as Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) when the focus is on brief intervention - crisis support etc.
